BEGINNING 1 SWIMMING
Would you feel safe in a two-foot pool? There is no one who fails to learn to float and make progress in our classes if they’re able to put their hands on the bottom.
Our Beginning 1 and Beginning 2 classes have identical agendas. Our agenda has no deadline. Each person is at his/her own level and goes at his/her own pace. Beginning 1 goes more slowly and doesn’t progress into as many skills as Beginning 2. Beginning 1 allows more time for the basics of being in the water.
Naturally, the depth of the water makes a difference in your feeling of safety. Being in two feet of water makes it possible for all learners to succeed. If you would say that “any small thing” may make you panic, you’re one of our Beginning 1 people! We recommend that you register for this class.
EASIER TO FOCUS
Learning-wise, when you’re with “your people” —and Miracle Swimming is all about being with your people—it’s easier to focus. If you would be relieved to have all the time in the world to get your bearings in the shallow pool, join others who feel as you do. Please give yourself permission to be “where you are.” There is no silly reason for being afraid. At Miracle Swimming for Adults, there is no shame in being yourself. Each of the 109 million adults in the U.S. who is afraid in water became so for understandable reasons.
Our two-foot pool is one of our greatest assets at Miracle Swimming for Adults. Privacy is another one. By the way, we don’t start with floating: our first steps are far more elementary than floating.
When you’re ready, you’ll move to the main pool. Learning just doesn’t get any better than this.
There are more Beginning 1 students than anyone knows. Step forward proudly and learn.
